This Cabernet Franc features the felicitous meeting of the seductive power of 100% Mt. Veeder (Napa County) fruit with fine French oak to produce a provocative and substantial wine of great depth and weight. The wine is a memorable example of how intensely pleasing this variety can be when allowed to stand on its own merits. Dark-fruited aromas and flavors of black plum, black cherry and wild blackberry abound, underlain by a solid core of tannin that ensures its age-worthiness and the promise of considerable reward for the patient wine drinker who can resist its current allure.
