Ramsay

Pinot Noir 2003

North Coast

Grape Source   100% Napa Valley. Our 2003 Ramsay Pinot Noir comes mostly from two Napa Valley Vineyards, one in Carneros and one in the cool Jamison Canyon area adjacent to Carneros.

Clones    This wine is great blend of the modern ultra-premium clones of Pinot Noir-113, 114, 115, 667, 777 and Pommard.

Bottling Date    May 31st, 2005

Sensory Notes:

Nose:  Classic Pinot Noir raspberry and cherry characters, with lots of earthiness and lovely toasty oak.

Mouth:  The mouth explodes with blueberry, Bing cherry, anise and toast. Even more striking is the depth and richness of the mouth-feel, like a rich, thick, red pillow for the mouth. The wine is very fruity, with blackberry characters and a big, rich, tarry and solid balance. The oak is refined and quite opulent in its "warm" characters.
